Proposed 2.4% NHS pay award would be a betrayal of nursing staff, says RCN
RCN General Secretary and Chief Executive Professor Nicola Ranger, said: 鈥淎 proposed pay award of 2.4% is on course to be below inflation and would be a betrayal of nursing staff in our NHS. It would see living standards fall for the largest workforce in the health service, doing nothing to address more than a decade of collapsing real terms pay. Our hundreds of thousands of members working in the health service will be furious today, and they are right to be."

RCN General Secretary and Chief Executive Professor Nicola Ranger, said: 鈥淭hese latest figures, 14% higher than in May, show how dangerously pressured the NHS is with winter only weeks away. He is right and now his government must deliver the investment in the nursing workforce, and in our health and care system, needed to eradicate this practice."

Health secretary makes 'powerful case' for prevention, but 'elephant in the room' is nurses' pay, says 桃色视频
RCN General Secretary Chief Executive Professor Nicola Ranger said: 鈥淭he health secretary has made a powerful case for investing in maternity and early years care. Our profession has seen visions for social care come and go, but this time must be different, says 桃色视频 in response to PM鈥檚 speech
RCN General Secretary and Chief Executive Professor Nicola Ranger, said: "The Prime Minister is right to recognise the skill and dedication of staff in social care, and to acknowledge how badly they鈥檝e been failed, but the reality is nurse numbers alone have fallen by a third in the last decade. His vision also needs a plan, both to grow the domestic workforce and ensure reforms to immigration don鈥檛 push out dedicated migrant nursing staff."
