Wales votes in 2026
Discover what we're calling for in our manifesto.
In May 2026, Wales will elect a new Welsh Government.
Our members know best how the next Welsh Government should tackle the crisis of corridor care, protect patient safety, and fix health and social care.
Get involved in the campaign for stronger nursing - and a stronger nation.
Corridor care is not safe care.
Nurses, doctors, and health care staff in Wales are being forced to treat and care for patients in corridors, car parks, and other places where safe care simply isn't possible.
The Welsh government has announced a 3.3% NHS pay award for 2026/27
This award has been applied from 1 April 2026 in Wales.
Elected members on the RCN Trade Union Committee and Council will now consider the detail. They鈥檒l look at whether this is fair treatment compared to other professions and sectors and what the government means when it asks for talks on reforming the structure of Agenda for Change.
